Solomon J. Stewart (ICUSOLO) is an American composer, singer-songwriter, community philanthropist, and creative visionary from Waldorf, Maryland. Solomon attended Temple University in the fall of 2018, where he received his B.S in Community Development and Certificate of Historic Preservation from the Tyler School of Art & Architecture.

As a kid, Solomon explored many artistic endeavors, including choir, theatre, painting, and dance, but his main passion always fell with music. His musical journey began at age 11, when his father and former producer bought him his first YAHAMA keyboard. It was then that he began his journey as a songwriter, writing some of his first songs inspired by the likes of love-ballad powerhouses such as Luther Vandross, Anita Baker, Stevie Wonder, and Alicia Keys. He then went on to perform at various events, including local talent shows, The Kennedy Center, school plays, and even landed an audition for season 15 of American Idol. Though starting as a musician, Solomon’s time as an architecture student allowed him to explore and develop other areas of interest, including history, film, design, dance, and photography. He drew much of his interdisciplinary inspiration from artists such as Solange, Nina Simone, Sam Cooke, David C. Driskell, Miles Davis, Basquiat, Demar Matthews, and Beyoncé, among others. 

With giving back being a core part of his ethos, in May of 2023 Solomon spent much of his efforts in the realm of community philanthropy by supporting select New Jersey cities through community investment, technical assistance, and program development for the Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) program at The Reinvestment Fund, a financial non-profit based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Most notably, his previous experience in September of 2021 involved working with a grassroots organization, Fabric Health, which was recognized by VOGUE Japan for providing health care and social services to urban communities in Philadelphia.

Furthering his philanthropic commitment, Solomon joined the Watson Institute for Urban Policy and Research at Kean University in November of 2023 as the program director for a neighborhood revitalization planning initiative in Trenton, New Jersey. This initiative focused on developing new housing and economic opportunities for need-based residents through community engagement and participatory research.

In spring of 2025, Solomon graduated from the ONE School ATL Cohort for Black Creatives as an Art Director & Copywriter. Although committed to improving the systemic and structural conditions of urban communities, Solomon understood that being the author and director of his ideas and vision was crucial in the path of creative entrepreneurship. That same year, he founded his entertainment and production company, FrumSkrtch Entertainment, where he could house his love of art, philanthropy, and research. His mission is to heal, inspire, inform, and empower others through the gift of storytelling.
